Creator of popular children's television show The Muppets, Sesame Street and Fraggle Rock would have celebrated his 77th birthday today. The puppeteer has left a legacy of smiles, and fond childhood memories for all walks of life, in all age brackets.
Best known for his popular characters such as Kermit the Frog, Big Bird, Miss Piggy and tons more, the Jim Henson Company continues to keep Henson's memory alive, and entertain and educate kids of all ages.
Henson died in 1990 at age 53 due to organ failure attributed to streptococcal infection.
