Fashion Friday: People's Choice Awards Edition

In case you missed it, the People's Choice Awards aired this week, and the red carpet was jam packed with some stellar looks! While many shined, we particularly loved The Vampire Diaries' star Nina Dobrev's Jenny Packham dress.

The now turned 25 year old actress turned heads (including ex-beau's Ian Somerhalder) in the body con, midi length dress, that featured a splash of silver sequin detailing. Paired with a messy, pompadour up-do and open-toe sky high stilettos, the beauty finished off the outfit with a muted and understated black clutch.

From runway to real life, Dobrev got it right with this Packham dress!

The Canadian cutie scored even more points when she calmly and playfully accepted the award for favorite onscreen chemistry with ex-lover and fellow co-star, Iam Somerhalder.

"Then we broke up in real life," the Canadian actress explained. "And yet our characters are still dating on the show," Somerhalder chimed in. "It's a good thing it's not awkward," joked Dobrev.

Not awkward at all! What did you think of Dobrev's look? Sound off in the comments below!

Actor James Avery Passes Away

Popularly known for his starring role on '90's hit show, "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" as Uncle Phil, actor James Avery has passed away at age 68. The New Jersey native died on Tuesday in Glendale, California following complications from open heart surgery he underwent back in November.

As a Navy vet, Avery started his acting career in the '80's, and went on to star in "Fresh Prince", but also has a list of other notable acting nods under his belt from roles on "CSI", "That '70s Show", "The Closer", and "L.A Law."

Avery's co-stars have referred to him as their "second father" & "protector"

Former co-stars, among other celebrities have taken to social media to express their sadness and condolences surrounding the late star's death, although the Fresh Prince himself, Will Smith has yet to make a statement.

Avery is survived by his wife Barbara Avery, Florence Avery, and stepson. Our hearts go out to his family and friends in this time of loss.

Kanye West & Jimmy Kimmel Squash Their Beef!

Kanye West & Jimmy Kimmel settled their differences last night, on Jimmy Kimmel Live

How could we forget the intense feud that ensured between late night talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel and rapper Kanye West last month, after Kimmel spoofed the "passionate" interview West gave to BBC. The parody sent West into a Twitter tizzy, tweeting a series of irate tweets attacking Kimmel, igniting a social media beef far greater than any rap battle to date! However, last night it seems the dueling duo came to amends as West, now popularly known as Kim Kardashian's baby daddy, appeared as a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

As viewers held their breath, not knowing what could erupt, the conversation was not combative in the slightest, and the men settled their differences. Kanye, of course, explained his notions that he is a "creative genius" and they gave the public the real scoop on what caused the feud. The two had nurtured a "real" friendship (as real as it can get), and Kanye felt betrayed by the spoof.

The highlight (and laugh worthy) part of the interview was when Kimmel gifted Kanye with leather shorts, which was the subject of the original skit. Again, this triggered Kanye to engage in one of his infamous rants about fashion, being a celebrity, his family AND...pretty much everything else under the sun!

The pair ended on a good note though, as West confessed that he really hadn't watched the entire sketch, and Kimmel admitting, that it really wasn't that funny! Aww! Now they can go back to being "friends", and we can allllll go back to our humdrum Twitter feeds.

Check out the spoof, and the Kimmel/West interview below:

Sofia Vergara Tops Forbes' Top Earning TV Actress List

Vergara's Million Dollar Smile!

ABC's Modern Family star, Sofia Vergara ranked #1 on this year's Forbes magazine's annual Celebrity 100 list as the Top Earning TV actress. The sexy starlet tops the list for a second year in a row, earning an estimated $30 million. This salary is not only attributed her fat Modern Family check, but it includes multiple endorsement and licensing deals with brands such as Kmart, Pepsi, Rooms to Go, and State Farm Insurance.

Not only does she hold the reign of highest paid , but she's also highest in demand. Major brands see Vergara's face as a major payday for them, as brand bigwigs are thoroughly impressed with their investment, allowing them to aggressively target the Hispanic demographic.

The Forbes list is calculated based on earnings between June 2012-June 2013, and tallies numbers based on completed projects and contracts made during the specified time.
In addition, the list not only includes work done on television projects, but also endorsement and licensing deals, which Vergara is a long shot winner of.

Coming up slowly behind Vergara in second and third place (with less than half of the star's earnings) are Kaley Cuoco (Big Bang Theroy), and Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order: SVU) earning only $11 million each (only $11 mill? Bummer..)

Tina Fey, The Kardashian sisters, Bethenny Frankel, Ellen Pompeo, and Melissa McCarthy are all tied at the $10 million mark.

Oprah Wants To Chit-Chat With Paula Deen

Paula Deen all smiles on a better day for the chef.

When Oprah calls, you better answer!

Oprah is putting the word out that she wants a word with the controversial, celebrity chef, Paula Deen. The former talk show Queen said in a recent interview on Monday, that she is game to let Paula Deen tell her story...when she is good and ready emotionally. "I would love to when she is ready to sit down and have a conversation about what all of this has meant to her and how it's sort of settled with her," stated "The Butler" actress at a Los Angeles premiere of her new film. She went on to say, "I think Paula Deen was sort of used as a symbol, but I think lots of people use the word inappropriately all the time."

Until now, Oprah has not been very vocal about Deen's accusations, as the two have publicly had a very connected friendship.

Deen found herself in the heart of turmoil back in June when a lawsuit was launched against her by former employee at her Georgia restaurant accusing Deen of hurling racial slurs, which Deen admitted to. While she did offer a public apology, endorsers quickly yanked her television and endorsement gigs.

"I just really want to know what happened," says Winfrey. And who else can get to the bottom of the matter, than Ms. Winfrey herself!

Jason Sudeikis Reveals He Will Not Be Returning to Saturday Night Live

He has made us smile (until it hurt) for a whooping ten seasons straight, but sadly that is coming to an end. Funny man, Jason Sudeikis has confirmed that he will not be returning for another season of Saturday Night Live. Sudeikis made the announcement during a visit to The Late Show with David Letterman  last night. Appearing on the show for ten seasons straight, the comedian actually wrote for the famed sketch comedy show for two years prior to getting in front of the camera.

Rumors of his leaving the show have been swirling since May, but last night Sudeikis made it official. SNL is currently on summer break, however will resume taping in August.

Rest assured, we will be able to get our dose of Sudeikis in new big screen movie which co-stars Jennifer Aniston and premieres in August, called "We're The Millers".

Sudeikis and long time girlfriend, Olivia Wilde are currently preparing to get hitched some time this year. Maybe SNL will spoof the wedding?!

Check out the clip below of Sudeikis and Letterman below:

Lindsay Lohan's $2 Million Buck Pay Day!

With the movie offers few and far in between, we know this must have Ms. Lohan grinning from ear to ear!

According to TMZ.com, after 4 months of negotiating, talk show queen Oprah's OWN network have finally come to a financial agreement with Lindsay Lohan to score an interview about the troubled teen star's life. It is reported that OWN has shelled out a whopping $2 Million dollars to have Lohan spill her heart out about her struggles and rehab stints in a an 8-part docu-series.

Apparently the series will chronicle Lohan's tumultuous childhood, personal battle with drugs, legal woes, and her (not-so) acting career. This offer comes to Lohan as one of the biggest offers she's seen since Playboy, who reportedly paid up $1 Million to her.

While the "Mean Girls" star has stayed mum on the offer, mother Dina was sure to add her two cents in stating to E! News, "Oh, it's fantastic. If anyone is going to help mentor you, it's going to be Oprah."

In terms of Lindsay's progress, Dina added that, "She's happy, she's healthy and she's amazing. She's doing really well."

Once out of rehab, Lindsay will be headed to the big apple to settle in her own (luxurious, we're sure)apartment..compliments of Oprah! Well, not really, but we're sure that nice big pay check will help!'

Will you be tuning in, or are you thoroughly over Lindsay's antics?

Jenny McCarthy Replaces Joy Behar on The View This September

Hot topics are about to get hotter with this new cast member!

With 17 previous appearances on the show, The View has officially announced that former Playboy Playmate, Jenny McCarthy will become a permanent fixture on the opinionated table come this September. McCarthy will serve as the replacement to long time comic relief, and host Joy Behar. "I'm beyond thrilled to be joining Barbara and the other amazing women at the table. I'd like to thank ABC for this great opportunity. I look forward to helping make hot topics a little bit hotter, and showing my mom that my interrupting skills have finally paid off." McCarthy has stated.

The show has been receiving quite the cast make-over these past few months, with Elisabeth Hasselbeck leaving to go to Fox News, and producer and founder, Barbara Walters announcing that she too, will be leaving the show next summer. She will remain the producer. “Jenny brings us intelligence as well as warmth and humor,” Walters said in an official statement. “She can be serious and outrageous. She has connected with our audience and offers a fresh point of view. Jenny will be a great addition to the show as we usher in an exciting new chapter for The View.”

Currently hosting the late night talk show, The Jenny McCarthy show, VH1 has generously allowed McCarthy to do both hosting gigs. "I'd also like to give a big thank you to VH1 for their support and for allowing me to fulfill this lifelong dream," McCarthy adds.

To shake things up even more, the newest host has been linked to New Kid on the Block heartthrob, Donnie Wahlberg. Photos have circulated of the pair getting extra chummy this past fourth of July.

We wonder who will be next to be added or leave the show, but we are excited to see how this will spice the talk show up! For all those avid The View watchers, does this new addition joining the cast have you smiling?

The Kardashians Speak on North West Name & Sike Out BFFs!

As if the Kardashians didn't already have reason to smile, the birth of Kimye's new baby girl has the entire family grinning from ear to ear!

Since the birth of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's new bundle of joy, rumors of a confirmed name have been swirling around the net. Yesterday, Kardashian ring leader/mom/momanger, Kris Jenner, took to The View confirming that the newest addition to the clan was in fact, North West.

Check out the Kardashian matriarch giving the world some insight as to why the directional name was chosen, and her stamp of "Pro-North" approval.

Now that the cat is out of the bag on the name, the world is dying to know- does little North resemble her reality television mogul Mom, or her musical superstar Dad? We know that the family has some sort of elaborate, and strategic trick up their sleeve to reveal photos to the world, all in Kardashian time. In efforts to keep photos airtight until that very moment,  reports claim that sneaky Kim K. sent around fake photos of her new baby to close friends. According to TMZ, someone in their tight knit circle, tried to hock the photos to the highest bidder. Talk about a game of trust! They say motherhood changes you, and looks like Kim is finally becoming a bit more protective of her personal life.

Guess someone in Kimmy's inner circle isn't much of a bestie, huh? We just wonder which BFF is getting the axe!
